It has been brought to our attention that someone is impersonating our head booker and trying to scam people out of money. We wanted to take this opportunity to share a few tips to ensure you’re actually in contact with a legitimate agency.
- Pay Attention to the email address! It should always be email@example.com. No legit agency will be using a gmail, yahoo, hotmail, ect.
- Check the numbers! If the number listed on the website and the number in the email signature are different, call the number on the website and ask. They will be able to tell you right away if it’s legit or not!
- If anything feels off, call the agency number on their website and ask!
- You should never be asked for money in order to join an agency. If someone is asking for an investment, or a deposit, it’s probably not legit!
Below are the fake emails that were received by a few people.
