Read Bianca Davies‘ interview about how a torn ACL started her modeling career! Photography by Annie Edmonds.

What were you doing before you started modeling?  Before I started modeling, I was playing basketball at Cal State Northridge.  Approaching my graduation, I tore my ACL leading to the end of my 15 year basketball career. My coach suggested that I could be a model, that’s when I got connected with Natural Models!

What are your goals in life? What are you currently doing outside of modeling?

I grew up in the rough city of Oxnard,CA and  playing basketball was my escape from the negative things the hood. I went from playing basketball to a full time working model. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to believe I’m doing something that people dream of. One of my goals is inspire people to live out there dreams no matter how scary it may seem or crazy it might sound. My ultimate goal is to make something positive out of modeling, to reach people that can connect & relate to me. I want to change lives. When I’m not modeling, I help people with developmental disabilities find employment, workout and spend time with family and friends.

What is the biggest piece of advice you could give other women?
The biggest advice I can give to other women is to make sure YOU come first before anyone else. YOU are in charge of your feelings, your thoughts and your actions. At the end of the day the only opinion that matters is yours, your view on yourself is the most important thing in your life. Make it a a view that you will fall in love with and that makes you happy. Ladies, find what makes you confident and run with it!
How would define your personal style?
I would define my style as sporty chic. I love a simple sneaker high waist jeans and a crop top.
